Costanoa Ventures

As the year comes to a close, we want to express our gratitude to everyone in the Costanoa community for making this a memorable year for us and our companies.

Over the past year we reflected on how we can continue to better serve our portfolio companies and the startup ecosystem at large. We see our number one job as supporting our entrepreneurs. While we discovered more services that were helpful to our founders, we also learned it was important to improve the way we represent ourselves. So as of today, we are officially Costanoa Ventures with a new look that we hope better represents who we are.

We often get asked where Costanoa came from. The origin of the name was when the first Spanish explorers came by in 1602 — they could see from ships evidence of human population and referred to them as Costaneos (Spanish for coastal peoples). They believed in trust, collaboration, and treating everyone with respect and dignity. These are the core values we started with and try our best to practice in everything we do.
