My Philosophy: 

I invest in data, AI, and dev infrastructure founders, who challenge my long-standing assumptions and make me rethink what is possible.

There's nothing like partnering with founders at the earliest stages. As a firm, we bring deep operational expertise in recruiting, go-to-market, and scaling. I see my most critical job as helping founders see what they often can't when they're deep in execution. My role is to be the thought partner who helps them see around corners.

Experience:

My career has taken me from practitioner to product management to investing, all in data and AI. I was an ML engineer at Amazon working on search ranking. At Turo, I built their first ID fraud model that drastically reduced stolen cars.  I was the product lead for the Workspace at Databricks, which is where users access and interact with their data. Now, I invest in the tools and infrastructure I've worked with as both builder and user.

A Little More About Me: 

Born in Taiwan and raised in New Zealand, I moved to the Bay Area for college and have stuck around ever since. The cool San Francisco climate reminds me of Auckland.

I run in the mornings, mostly with a jogging stroller. After I ran my first marathon I said I would be done for a while, but I’ve signed up for another one.

At home, I’ve dialled in my espresso game and can consistently serve solid cappuccinos. I also experiment with different pourover techniques for fun.

I went deep down the wine rabbit hole for several years, including getting my WSET Level 3 certification. While my drinking hasn’t kept pace, I savor any opportunity to drink delicious wine.

I’m a big basketball fan though I watch more than I play these days. I am a LeBron fan, but will need to find a new star to root for when he eventually retires.
